A wide range of programs are available for youth and teens, including youth sports and recreation programs, educational programs and programs that support leadership and career development. Please review the information to learn what programs and services are available at this installation.
Youth Activities normally found in U.S. Youth Centers are provided through the International Youth Activities (IYA) at Geilenkirchen and the International Youth Services at JFC Brunssum.
International Youth Services
JFC Brunssum, the Netherlands offers dances, games, tours, school break activities and summer camps. Classes in martial arts, arts and crafts, ballet and tap are also available. Sport sponsored activities include soccer, basketball, football and baseball.
Geilenkirchen has an exciting program, open to all families of the Component with children between the ages of five and eighteen. It offers an outstanding after-school program for youth between the ages of 6-12.
The IYA facility provides youths an opportunity to relax and enjoy leisure activities side by side with the children of other nations. The supervised programs specialize in mental, social and physical development. The IYA program offers dances, games, tours, school break activities, summer camps, and sports clinics. Instructional classes are also available in a wide range of activities from dance and music to gymnastics and quilting.
The Tri-Border area offers many opportunities for youth, including soccer, basketball, football, swimming, softball and baseball.
