College/Technical Training

The Education Center provides a wide range of high quality education programs to enhance professional and personal learning for all active duty personnel, family members, veterans and DoD civilians. Services offered include counseling on topics such as; general college information, tuition assistance, Community College of the Air Force degrees, GI Bill info, commissioning programs, language testing, general test proctoring, and financial aid services. All PME testing is conducted in the Base Education and Training Office. The Base Training functions, including formal training, civilian training, and military/OJT training are co-located in the Education & Training Office.

There are colleges and universities that offer both undergraduate and graduate courses on Geilenkirchen NATO Air Base. Courses are offered lunchtime, evenings and weekends.

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) Europe offers certificates, associates, bachelor and master degrees and graduate-level certificates. Areas of study include Business & Management, Cybersecurity, Liberal Arts & Communications, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, and Psychology & Social Science. You can learn online or in a flexible hybrid format that combines online and classroom learning for select programs. The also manage the National Test Center where they offer CLEP, Excelsior, Pearson Vue, and DSST Testing.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) offers associate, bachelor, master, graduate certificates, and PhD degrees in the areas of Aviation, Business, Computers & technology, Engineering, Security and Space. They also offer the Air University-Associate to Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU ABC) program through their campus They have several different modes of instruction including classroom, online, EagleVision classroom and blended classes.
