Programs and services are available at most installations for children up to age 12. Care may be provided in Child Development Centers, School Age Care Programs, and Family Child Care Homes. Hurlburt's CDC offers services for children six weeks through 5 years of age. The program offers various services that include full-day care, hourly care and part-day preschool. By registering at https://militarychildcare.com, you can place your child's name on the child care waiting list in advance of your arrival. Call FCC at 850-884-4300.

The Centers are open 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Closed on all Federal Holidays.

Programs Offered
Full time care -- Full day care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Families PCSing to Hurlburt may submit a request for care by registering at https://militarychildcare.com. Please include a copy of your PCS orders. Upon receipt, requests for care will be placed on the waiting list according to our priority system.
Hourly care -- Available for children ages 6 weeks to 5 yrs when absences of full time children are known in advance.
Slot Leasing (based on availability) -- for short term or long term care when a regular full-time patron is out of the program (for children 6 weeks - 5 yrs). A leasing book with parent contact information is maintained at the front desk of each CDC. Please contact the parent that owns the space to coordinate care and payment. The CDC will maintain all registration paperwork and shot records.
Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten -- Provider for children 4-5 yrs old. Children must be 4 yrs old before 1 September of each school year. There is no cost to families enrolled in this program. Please see the Florida Early Learning Coalition website for more information about this program.
Give Parents-A-Break Program -- Give Parents-A-Break Program is free child care offered one Saturday a month in conjunction with the Youth Center for children ages 6 months to 12 years. This program sponsored by the Air Force Aid Society is offered for families experiencing stress or when a spouse is deployed.
