Personal Financial Readiness Program
Personal Financial Readiness ProgramThe Personal Financial Management Program assists service members and their families in achieving and sustaining personal financial readiness by providing personal financial education, training, counseling and financial information and referral.
A wide range of financial classes are provided: Budgeting, Savings and Investing, Credit and Debt, Car Buying, Home Buying, Thrift Savings Plan, Command Financial Specialist Training and Million Dollar Service Member. Classroom-based training, individual counseling and unit briefs are available.
The cost of living in Japan is higher than most areas in the United States. Most military members stationed in Japan will receive a cost-of-living allowance to defray the higher cost of living overseas. This pay will vary based on your rank and number of family members. Remember when you rotate back to the states this additional pay will stop.
