Programs and services are available at most installations for children up to age 12. Care may be provided in Child Development Centers, School Age Care Programs, and Family Child Care Homes. Please review the information to find out what programs and services are available at this installation. MCAS Cherry Point Child Development Center operates a full time, part time, and hourly care program. Care is provided for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. The Child Development Program Before/After Care is a joint effort between the Child Development Program and Youth Activities. The Before/After School Program is offered for children in grades K-5. The Child Development Centers aboard Cherry Point are located in Buildings 4629, 4298, and 4859. The telephone numbers are 252-466-3105 (bldg. 4629), 3782 (bldg. 4298), and 3732 (bldg. 4859).

Cherry Point CDC operates a full time and hourly care program. Care is provided for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. These programs meet the accreditation standards of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and are staffed by trained child care providers. There is a variety of group and individual activities offered that are tailored to the children's developmental needs.
The Cherry Tree House offers before and after school care along with a variety of planned group and individual activities for children between the ages of 6 and 12 years of age and/or 5 years of age, if enrolled in kindergarten. All patrons must register through the Children and Youth Program Resource & Referral office . Located in Building 4415 on 4th Avenue, the Cherry Tree House can be reached by calling 252-466-3861 (FUN1).
The Cherry Tree House also offers a weekly summer camp program. Ages 5, if enrolled in kindergarten, to 12 years of age. Enrollment for care must be made through the Children and Youth Program Resource & Referral office before attending.
