Legal Assistance

The mission of the Legal Services Support Team is to provide free, confidential legal advice and assistance concerning civil matters to active duty and retired military personnel and their authorized family members.

3. Custody/Adoption/Name Change paperwork
4. Notary Public

1. Contracts -Consumer issues
2. Separation/divorce
3. Nonsupport claims
4. Landlord/tenant
5. Adoptions
6. Name change
7. Soldiers & Sailors Relief Act
8. Wills/Powers of Attorney
9. Fair Debt Collection
10. Practices Act

Hours/Appointments:  Monday - Friday (0730-1130 and 1300-1630).   Please call (910) 451-7085 if you require additional information regarding our hours of operation on a specific date. 

In order to receive separation paperwork/divorce paperwork you must set an appointment with an attorney. To receive a will through the Joint Law Center you must attend the wills class taught by an attorney. Powers of Attorney (POA) are available on a walk-in basis. However, a POA brief is also given at every Wills class. 

Regular Scheduled Briefs:

1. Separation/Divorce:  Tuesday and Thursday @ 0730
2. Wills/Power of Attorney:  Monday, Wednesday, & Friday @ 1000 in Bldg. 66 on Camp Lejeune. 

Note: Free notary services are also provided by Navy Federal Credit Union and Marine Federal Credit Union to their members.
