Programs and services are available at most installations for children up to age 12. Care may be provided in Child Development Centers, School Age Care Programs, and Family Child Care Homes. The Mountain Home Child Development Center (CDC) offers full-day childcare for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age. Call 208-828-2443.
Family Child Care (FCC) Providers offer hourly, part-time or full day care within their home. Call 208-828-6715.
The Mountain Home Air Force Base Child Development Center is the focal point for on-base childcare. The Child Development Program is certified by the Department of Defense and is fully accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). This high quality early childhood program provides a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of young children.

Hours of Operation -- The center is open 7:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Eligibility
All children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age, of active duty and DOD civilian employees may use the Child Development Centers (CDC) in accordance with Air Force priorities are eligible to use this facility.

Rates are determined by the total family income and are based on a sliding scale.
