Contact information for key programs and services at this installation.
When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
A "sponsor" can be an invaluable resource for those arriving at NAS Fallon. To obtain a sponsor, contact Command Administration at 775-426-2709, 2710, 2720 and 2703 or DSN: 312-890-2709, 2710, 2720 and 2703 well in advance.
Sailors reporting to Naval Air Station Fallon must check in at the NAS Fallon Administrative Office, Building 350, upon arrival. All calls after normal working hours should be made to the NAS Fallon Command Duty Officer cell phone at 775-426-8257. Personnel checking in or out of the command on PCS or temporary additional duty orders after normal hours should contact the Command Duty Officer who will endorse your orders and log the arrival/departure. Make sure to check in with Command Administration and submit a proper leave request prior to taking permissive leave for house-hunting.
The next step is to stop by the Administration Office, located in Building 350, for processing in. You can expect the check-in process to take several days. Make sure you have contacted your sponsor prior to your arrival.
This is exclusively for individuals who are traveling with their family. Upon arrival, you will be screened at the Administrative Office to determine your eligibility for a Temporary Lodging Allowance (TLA) of maximum 10 days.
In addition
Spouse orientation can be accomplished by attending Command Indoctrination with the Service Member and/or visiting the Fleet and Family Support Center. The Fleet and Family Support Center can provide relocation resources, courses, and individual consultations to spouses.
Temporary Lodging Reservations
Several lodging options exist, including Navy Gateway Inns & Suites, Navy Lodge, local motels in Fallon (6 miles away), and recreational vehicle parks including one on base run by Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR). Reservations should be made well in advance of your stay as Fallon rooms fill quickly when Carrier Air Groups are in town.
Mandatory Isolated Duty Screening
Concurrent Travel is travel under which the member is accompanied or immediately followed by the member's spouse and/or dependents. Isolated Duty Screening is mandatory for PCS transfer to Naval Air Station Fallon. It is your responsibility to ensure you and your family have passed isolated duty screening! The Fallon area is currently considered remote/isolated duty with limited local medical services available. Improper screening could also result in unnecessary expenses incurred by both the service member and the Navy.
