Contact information for key programs and services at this installation.
A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
The Loan Locker is located in the Fleet and Family Support Center. Personnel may sign out (30 to a maximum 60 days) a Hospitality Kit, which contains kitchenware, tableware, a toaster and a coffee maker. Irons and ironing boards are in limited supply. This service is available Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; Wednesday, 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Call DSN 314-624-4291 or commercial 011-39-095-56-4291 for more details.
Families will need to send bath towels, bedding and flat sheets in their express baggage so they are available for their use when they arrive. Housing will have temporary furniture in place until the family’s own furniture arrives.
Furniture is European specification (metric) so mattresses are shorter, wider and thinner than American (inches). Flat sheets will fit better.
Electricity is 220 volts versus 110 volts, so a transformer is needed to use American appliances.
Unaccompanied housing (barracks) and government family housing (Marinai) have both voltages.
The Fleet and Family Support Center is excited to introduce the Program. Active duty service members, DOD contractors and their families can check out a pre-made for 2, 4 or 6 people, hospitality kit for free for 30 days, extendable to 60 days. Check-out is on a walk-in basis. Inquire at the FFSC, 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday, except holidays; 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Wednesdays.
