The Military and Family Support Center is one part of a larger network of agencies, programs, services, partnerships and individuals that supports your personal and family readiness. The larger system called the Military Family Readiness System is a web of support for you and your family. The Military and Family Support Center should be one of your first stops once you arrive at a new installation. The programs and services they offer are a key resource for you and your family.

FFSC Northwest offers the following additional services:
Relocation Counseling and Training for Move.mil/DPS/Entitlements. Need Moving Assistance for PCS stateside, overseas, separations, and retirement call 757-421-8770.
Counseling - Northwest Annex offers short-term counseling & crisis intervention for active duty and their spouses. A child counselor is available for children with short-term counseling. Call FFSC Northwest for an appointment, 757-421-8770.
Family Advocacy Program (FAP) - FFSC Northwest provides Family Violence prevention and identification educational workshops for commands. FFSC Northwest offers a variety of educational workshops designed to strengthen families by increasing skills to cope with family challenges and interpersonal relationships. The Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate (DAVA) can be reached Monday-Friday at 757-421-8770 until 4:00 p.m. After hours, holidays, and weekends National Abuse Hotline can be reached at 800-799-7233.
Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) - FFSC Northwest will guide active duty and spouses in the procedure for submitting paperwork to this program. Northwest FFSC will provide information regarding support groups and services available in the local community. Call Northwest FFSC at 757-421-8770 or contact region. Transition Forum- FFSC Northwest provides workshops to assist separating and retiring personnel with effective skills for managing the changes when transitioning from military to civilian life. Topics include anxiety reduction, communication strategies, and money in your next career. These programs can help alleviate the stress associated with transitioning to the civilian workplace.
Fleet & Family Support Centers of Hampton Roads Regional Programs:
Sexual Assault Prevention Response (SAPR)-- provides victim advocacy support to victims of sexual assault. Advocates provide sexually assaulted victims on available medical and counseling services, and other available resources. Through education and training, the SAPR program focuses on prevention and responding to reported incidents. SAPR program provides command support with Victim Advocate Basic & Refresher, POC, DCC, Liaison training, and conduct command GMT and leadership briefs.
