Deployment Support Overview

Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.

The Military & Family Readiness Center (Bldg. 960) supports families during deployments, remote tours, and TDYs over 30 days.

Briefings (Mandatory):

  • Pre-Deployment: Tuesdays at 9 a.m. | Thursdays at 2 p.m.
  • Post-Deployment: Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. | Thursdays at 2:30 p.m.

Spouses encouraged to attend. Call 940‑676‑4358 to schedule.

A monthly free meal and an event for loved ones.

Child Care Support

Give Parents a Break: $40/month per child. Apply at AFAS.org, upload your certificate, and funds are Zelled to you.

FCC Deployment Care: 16 free hours/month, starting 1 month before, during, and 1 month after deployment or remote tour.
