The Kirk U.S. Army Health Clinic and Aberdeen Proving Ground leadership are working closely with appropriate authorities to monitor and coordinate the latest guidance on the COVID-19 from the DOD and CDC. If you have returned from recent travel to a country with widespread COVID-19 cases, DO NOT report to the Kirk U.S. Army Health Clinic, as the facility does not have the ability to treat or to test for the virus.
Be sure to continue to follow all CDC guidelines for protecting yourself and others, and remember:
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Wash your hands often and for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
- Cover your cough/sneeze with a tissue, then throw it in the trash; cough/sneeze into your elbow if tissues are unavailable.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Ensure all immunizations are up to date, including your seasonal flu shot.
- Stay home if you are sick, and avoid close contact with Family members and pets.
- Create an emergency preparedness kit.
Defense Service Network Dialing Instructions
The DSN is the provider of long-distance communications service for the Department of Defense. Every installation has a special DSN number and the numbers vary by world-wide location. In order to place a call using DSN, the caller must be using a military phone on an installation. Cell phones cannot dial DSN numbers. When dialing a DSN number from a United States installation to another United States installation, it is unnecessary to dial the DSN 312 area code. When dialing a DSN number to/from overseas locations, the DSN area code must be included. The operator can be reached at commercial 719-567-1110. Please note that long distance charges may be incurred.
As of 01 Oct 09 it is illegal to text and operate a motor vehicle in Maryland.
