Temporary Housing

The Gold Country Inn operates Beale's temporary lodging facility which currently has 10 pet-friendly units (2 two-bedroom units and 8 four-bedroom units). Individuals are encouraged to make reservations prior to arrival by calling 530-634-2953/3662 or DSN 312-368-2953/3662. You may also email the Gold Country Inn for reservations at lodging.reservations@beale.af.mil. Please include the following information in your email: full name, rank, status (active, reserve, retired, government or civilian), length of stay, purpose of stay, number of people staying (adults and children), phone number, address, organization, date arriving, date departing and email address (if have pets, breed of pets are needed; max pets are 2). Please do not email credit card info.  You will be contacted within two duty days to complete and confirm your reservation.

Anyone lodged off base will require transportation to the base and can anticipate a 35- to 45-minute commute each way at a minimum. Ensure you receive a statement of non-availability from the Gold Country Inn before booking off-base lodging. The statement will be required to receive reimbursement for your lodging expenses.

Famcamp at Beale Air Force Base:

Next time you're passing through on vacation, check out Beale's superb facilities, which include year-round recreational vehicle parking with complete hook-ups. We have 44 sites with full hookups and 50/30/20 AMP capability, nestled on rolling foothills next to Lower Blackwelder Lake. A lounge, a kitchenette, restrooms with showers and a laundry room are available at the Famcamp center. The Famcamp is open for active-duty or retired military, Department of Defense civilians and sponsored guests. Reservations are accepted up to 90 days in advance. Reservations made less than seven days in advance will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis. Costs at Famcamp:

Full hook-ups

• $30 per day ($900/ month) for active duty, reservists, retired military and National Guard.

Dry campsites

• $20 per day
• $10 per day (Tents)

Length of stay at Famcamp:

The maximum length of stay in the Famcamp is 180 days per calendar year. Extensions beyond 180 days must be requested in writing to the Famcamp manager and will be approved or disapproved by the Outdoor Adventure Center director. Extension requests beyond 180 days will be directed to the Ninth Force Support Squadron commander. Guests on extended stays may be required to park in designated areas and may be asked to vacate their current site if the park becomes full.

Temporary lodging in the visiting airman’s and officer’s quarters is available to all categories of personnel. Permanent change of station and temporary duty travel personnel are provided with reservations and confirmations when available (72 hours prior to check-in time). Space-available rooms for guests not on orders can be booked 24 hours prior to arrival date and can be made for up to three nights at a time, depending upon availability. Beale has 34 temporary lodging facility units, 17 of which are pet friendly. Units have two bedrooms. Each unit is fully furnished and includes a living room (with a queen-size sofa bed), washer, dryer, stove and kitchen utensils. Daily charges are based upon rank and a few other factors; charges can change but with notice.

There are 29 rooms in the visiting airman’s quarters with shared bathroom facilities and three senior non-commissioned officer suites with private bathroom facilities. Forty-two rooms are available in the visiting officer’s quarters with private bath in a four-bedroom house with shared kitchen, lounge area and washer/dryer facilities.

All facilities have high-speed wireless internet and dish network satellite TV. Services and amenities include a small business center, DVD rental machine and Military OneSource information kiosk, and a wide range of various sundries, beverages and snacks are available for purchase in the lobby of the Gold Country Inn.

Location

The TLF is approximately 4 miles from the main base and 7 miles from the flight line. Since the restaurants and shopping facilities on base are located in the main base area, you will need a vehicle. The new TLF facility was opened in December 2019.

Pets

Pets are not allowed in the Gold Country Inn. Only eight units in TLF allow pets on a first-come, first-served basis. The following breeds of dogs that are deemed dominant and aggressive will not be permitted to be housed at or on the premises: Pit Bulls, American Staffordshire Terriers, English Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Rottweilers, Chow Chows, Doberman Pinchers, Siberian Huskies, Akitas, Perro de Presa Canarios and wolf hybrids. Exotic and other non-domestic animals, rodents (mice and rats), reptiles, snakes, arachnids, insects, farm, ranch and wild animals will not be housed in pet TLF units. These pets must be kenneled. Contact your sponsor about his/her ability to assist you with pet needs.
