Your Military and Family Support Center provides relocation assistance to help make PCS moves as smooth as possible. Resources include:
After arrival at Beale Air Force Base and during your initial in-processing, you will be scheduled for the Newcomers Orientation briefing located at the Community Activity Center. Newcomers Orientation is a mandatory appointment for all newly arrived active-duty members and new civilian employees to Beale. The Military and Family Readiness Center also sponsors a welcome to Beale called Happy Landings for newly arrived spouses twice per year. Call the M&FRC for more information.
The Air Force Aid Society provides for child care in Family Child Care homes as part of its Child Care for Permanent Change of Station (PCS) program. This program provides 20 hours of child care per child within 60 days of PCS, departure or arrival. Stop by the M&FRC for information and a certificate. A copy of your PCS orders is required to obtain the certificate.
Members coming to Beale with an exceptional family member child should contact the Exceptional Family Member Program family support coordinator as well as the school liaison officer at the M&FRC at 530-634-2863 to find support, information and referrals for identified medical and educational needs. Inbound EFMP families also will need to engage with the EFMP-Medical at 530-634-5421 upon arrival.
