A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
Loan Locker items are available until your unaccompanied baggage arrives. Available items from Fleet and Family Support Center in Chinhae include:
Dinner Kits - forks, knives, spoons, cups, dinner plates, dinner bowls, microwave dishes
Kitchen Kits - pots & pans set, kitchen knife set, cooking utensil set, cutting board, can opener
Toasters, Rice Cookers, Coffee Pots, TV/DVD, Iron
Bedding including sheets, blankets and pillows for twin and queen bed sizes (pick-up from NGIS)
Fleet and Family Support Center Korea has an active Loan Locker that provides a loan service of basic household utensils designed to assist active duty, reserves, Department of Defense civilians and their family members until arrival of their hold baggage and household goods or departing personnel after shipment of goods prior to departure.
Items are loaned for maximum of a 30-day period. An extension of 30 days will be granted if there is an adequate supply of the item or if an emergency situation exists. Extensions may not be granted if supply is low or demand is high due to permanent change of stations.

To Return the kit(s), call (315)762-5566/5385 (Chinhae) or 051-714-0829/0857 to set up an appointment, one of the staff will meet you at the Loan Closet at the time of the appointment. Items will not be accepted unless an appointment has been made.
Lost/Damaged Items
In the event of lost or damaged items, the client will be required to replace the item with an equivalent new item.
