Emergency Assistance

The Military& Family Readiness Center, or M&FRC, can contact additional helping agencies should the need arise. Contact the M&FRC at: 907-377-2178.

In case of emergency call 354th Security Forces Squadron at 911, or if calling from a cell phone, call 354th SFS at 907-377-5130.

NOTE: 911 calls on cell phones are routed through Fairbanks, you must tell them you are on Eielson Air Force Base.

If you need emergency assistance while traveling, please contact Military OneSource at 800-342-9647, and they can provide resources for services at the nearest duty station. Additionally, please note that the American Red Cross provides 24/7 global emergency communication services and support. For more information, call 877-272-7337.

The Air Force Aid Society provides emergency financial assistance in the form of interest-free loans or grants to Air Force members and their families in need. Aid is based on the merits of the individual case. Assistance with on-line applications is available through the Air Force Aid Society office located in the Military & Family Readiness Center.

The Air Force Aid Society also assists families with education grants, Child Care For PCS, Give Parents A Break, and assistance with PCSing with your pets when certain criteria are met.

If you experience an emergency en route to Eielson Air Force Base, please contact the Red Cross for assistance at 877-272-7337. Eielson Air Force Base does not have a Red Cross office on base, however, you may contact the station managers at nearby Fort Wainwright Red Cross 907-361-5685 or Fairbanks Red Cross 907-444-9529.

The American Red Cross can assist in times of emergency and provides support services, such as:

• Communications about family emergencies, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for verification of death or serious illness of immediate family, birth announcements to spouses deployed overseas, and health and welfare reports resulting from a lack of communication over a long period of time
• Confidential counseling services to Active-Duty, Guard, and Reserve members, and their families
• Financial assistance for military personnel and their immediate families through partnership with the service emergency relief societies
