Temporary Housing Overview

With certain military moves, you may find yourself looking for housing that’s a little less permanent before making long-term arrangements. There are several temporary housing options that may be right for you. Explore the information about temporary housing facilities including allowances, lodging rates and eligibility.

Reservations for temporary accommodations at the Eielson Lodging Office on base can be made in advance by calling:

  • Gold Rush Inn 907-377-1841 / DSN 317-377-1841

Please do not assume there will be space available for you if you do not have a reservation. We have several exercises during the summer months which coincide with our high PCS season. If you do not have a reservation, you will probably not get a room. Reservations are highly encouraged to avoid having to send Airmen and families off base for lodging. Make your billeting reservations as early as possible. PCSing service members can stay in billeting for up to 30 days. Lodging can be extended for valid reasons upon approval from the unit First Sergeant. Eielson now has 18 pet-friendly rooms available on base, so be sure to make reservations well in advance or make other arrangements for pets to be boarded off base. Local kennel information is available upon request.
