When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
REPLACEMENT: All inbound Soldiers, Colonel and below, must sign in at the Replacement Center CQ, Bldg. 1456, located on 1783 Nelson Blvd. To ensure installation in-processing is quick, simple and convenient, all in-processing requirements are completed while the Soldier is at the Replacement Detachment. The Replacement Staff Duty can be contacted at 719.526.6961.
IN-PROCESSING: When you report to the Replacement Detachment, have the following documentation with you:
IN-PROCESSING: Report to Bldg. 1456 and sign in with the CQ desk. Be sure that you have a copy of your DA31 and orders in hand. If reporting during duty hours, Soldiers must be in uniform. Soldiers are authorized to report in civilian clothes after 3 p.m. and on weekends; however, you must be clean shaven and in accordance with AR 670-1. All in-processing personnel complete a four-day in-processing schedule that includes finance (as part of reception) and scheduled SRP and CIF dates, as well as orientation to Family and Soldier resources on the Mountain Post.
FINANCE: Within 72 hours of reception all Soldiers meet with finance for assistance with filling out travel vouchers and entitlement documents. For additional information, visit the Fort Carson Army Military Pay Office.
REPORTING FROM MEPS: Upon arrival, Soldiers will provide all necessary documentation to the Replacement Center in order to get started. Replacement will provide MEPS documentation to MPD in order for Soldiers under MEPS status to in-process. DMPO is responsible for conducting accessions for MEPS Soldiers in order to start Soldier’s pay.
COMPASSIONATE RE-ASSIGNMENTS: Report to the Military Personnel Division CAPS section in the Mountain Post Soldier Center, Bldg. 1525, Rm 210; address is 6351 Specker Avenue, Bldg. 1525, Fort Carson, CO 80913.
DA CIVILIAN INPROCESSING: Report to the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center, 1626 Ellis Street, Bldg. 1118, 1st floor in the Garrison Headquarters. It is highly recommended you contact CPAC prior to your report date to confirm what documents and information are required, 719.526.8341.
If you plan to take Permissive Temporary Duty in conjunction with leave and it is annotated on your leave form Block 17, report to the Housing Services Office, Bldg. 1225 Room 189 to get your leave form stamped. Refer questions to 719.526.2323. If you do not have this stamp you will be charged 10 days of leave instead of PTDY. Upon PTDY completion, sign in for in-processing. For details call 719.526.6961.
