When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
Reporting to Fort Carson: Fort Carson is unrestricted and complying with HPCON B+ measures. The Fort Carson Replacement Center Staff Duty remains operational to receive Soldiers reporting to Fort Carson. Upon arrival, Soldiers will be appropriately screened to ensure they do not meet criteria for exposure for COVID-19. Given that Soldiers do not meet criteria, Soldiers will provide administrative documentation that includes a copy of their orders and DA 31 to complete reporting process. In regards to housing, Replacement Staff Duty will coordinate with gaining brigade to identify barracks space for single Soldiers. Soldiers with Families are encouraged to research housing options on post and off-post prior to arriving to Fort Carson. For assistance, call the Replacement Staff Duty at (719) 526.6961.

Reporting from a restricted location: Effective Jan. 25, service members and their dependents conducting PCS to Fort Carson are no longer required to exercise a Restriction of Movement upon arrival. Quarantine procedures are still required for anyone who comes in “close contact” with a COVID positive person. Commanders at all echelons retain the authority to direct ROM on a case-by-case basis for personnel given specific conditions associated with individual travel.
Reporting from MEPS: Upon arrival, Soldiers will provide all necessary documentation to Replacement Center in order for process to get started. Fort Carson Replacement Center will provide MEPS documentation to MPD in order for Soldiers under MEPS status to in-process. DMPO is responsible for conducting accessions for MEPS Soldiers in order to start Soldier’s pay. For assistance, call the Replacement Staff Duty at (719) 526.6961.

In-Processing: All inbound Soldiers, colonel and below, must sign in at the Replacement Center CQ, Bldg. 1456, located at 1783 Nelson Blvd., Fort Carson, Colorado, 80913. If you are searching on Google Maps, use Fort Carson In-Processing. To ensure installation in-processing is quick, simple and convenient, all in-processing requirements are completed while the Soldier is at the Replacement Detachment. Report to Bldg. 1456 and sign in with the CQ desk. Be sure that you have a copy of your DA31 and orders in hand. Post shuttle buses run throughout the Fort Carson.
If reporting during duty hours, Soldiers must be in uniform. Soldiers are authorized to report in civilian clothes after 1500 and on weekends; however, you must be clean shaven and in accordance with AR 670-1.
Transportation to Replacement Detachment: Soldiers arriving to the Colorado Springs Airport are to use local transportation, such as ride shares or taxis. Soldiers will be reimbursed for local transportation costs on Day Zero once they meet with finance personnel. Receipts are not required for expenses under $75. Soldiers arriving to the Denver International Airport who need directions or assistance en route should call the Replacement Detachment CQ at (719) 526.6961.

Unaccompanied, SGT and below, will be provided barracks lodging in Bldg. 1367. Accompanied, SSG and above, will need to make their own arrangements. For reservations at the Fort Carson Candlewood Suites hotel, call (719) 526.4832.
Schedule: All in-processing personnel will complete a four-day in-processing schedule that includes finance (as part of reception) and scheduled SRP and CIF dates, as well as orientation to Family and Soldier resources on the Mountain Post.
Leave Extension Requests: Check your orders for contact information or call the Replacement Detachment at (719) 526.6961.
Compassionate Re-assignment Requests: Report to the Military Personnel Division (MPD) CAPS section in the Mountain Post Soldier Center, Bldg. 1525, Rm 210. The address is 6351 Specker Avenue, Bldg. 1525, Fort Carson, CO 80913.
Department of the Army (DA) Civilian In-processing: Report to Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC), 1626 Ellis Street, Bldg. 1118. It's located on the first floor of the Garrison Headquarters. It is highly recommended you contact CPAC prior to your report date to confirm what documents and information are required, (719) 526.8341.
Soldiers must be in uniform if reporting during duty hours after 3 p.m. and on weekends. Soldiers are authorized to report in civilian attire and be clean shaven IAW AR 670-1.
If you plan to take permissive temporary duty authorization in conjunction with leave and it is annotated on your leave form Block 17 report to the Housing Services Office Building 1225 Room 189 to get your leave form stamped. Refer questions to 719.526.2323. If you do not have this stamp you will be charged 10 days of leave instead of PTDY. Upon PTDY completion, sign in for in-processing. For details call 719.526.6961.
