When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
REPLACEMENT: All inbound Soldiers, Colonel and below, sign in at the Replacement Center CQ, Bldg. 1456. Its located on 1783 Nelson Blvd, sign in is on the second floor. To ensure installation in-processing is quick, simple and convenient, all in-processing requirements are completed while the Soldier is at the Replacement Detachment. Additional assistance includes:
IN-PROCESSING: Report to Bldg. 1456 and sign in with the CQ desk. Be sure to have a copy of your DA31 and orders in hand. Also check the documents to hand carry section below. If reporting during duty hours, Soldiers must be in uniform. If reporting after 3 p.m. or on a weekend, Soldiers are authorized to report in civilian clothes; however, you must be clean shaven and in accordance with AR 670-1. All in-processing personnel complete a five-day in-processing schedule which includes finance (as part of reception); scheduled SRP and CIF dates; CG Welcome and Keys to Connection; as well as orientation to Family and Soldier resources on the Mountain Post.
FINANCE: Within 72 hours of reception all Soldiers meet with finance for assistance with filling out travel vouchers and entitlement documents. For additional information, visit the Fort Carson Army Military Pay Office.
REPORTING FROM MEPS: Upon arrival, Soldiers will provide all necessary documentation to the Replacement Center in order to get started. Replacement will provide MEPS documentation to MPD in order for Soldiers under MEPS status to in-process. DMPO is responsible for conducting accessions for MEPS Soldiers in order to start Soldier’s pay.
COMPASSIONATE RE-ASSIGNMENTS: Report to the Military Personnel Division CAPS section in the Mountain Post Soldier Center, Bldg. 1525, Rm 210; address is 6351 Specker Avenue, Bldg. 1525, Fort Carson, CO 80913.
DA CIVILIAN INPROCESSING: Report to the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center, 1626 Ellis Street, Bldg. 1118, 1st floor in the Garrison Headquarters. It is highly recommended you contact CPAC prior to your report date as well as confirm with new organization POC what documents and information are required, 719-526-8341.
Note, in 2017 the Army changed its Permissive TDY requirements; Soldiers are no longer required to visit the Housing Services Office (HSO) to obtain an HSO stamp. If a Soldier recieved BAH, they should report tot he HSO upon arrive to Fort Carson. Army regulations required they visit the HSO prior to making permanent off-ost living arrangements.
