Check-in Procedures

READY Company Installation Reception Center

All inbound soldiers, colonel and below, sign in at the Reception Center, Bldg. 1456, located on 1783 Nelson Blvd. For staff duty, call 719-526-6961.

Additional assistance includes:

• Financial Hardships – Contact Army Community Service 719-526-0457 or 526-0466.
• Newcomers Assistance – Contact Army Community Service 719-526-0457 or 526-0466; A dedicated staff member provides newcomers support.
• Transportation on Post – Shuttle buses run throughout Fort Carson.
• Pickup from Springs Airport – Contact Replacement to coordinate pickup 719-526-6961. Soldiers are authorized to use local transportation, such as ride shares or taxis, and will be reimbursed; receipts are not required for expenses under $75.
• Pickup from Denver Airport – Soldiers are authorized to use local transportation, such as ride shares or taxis, and will be reimbursed; receipts are not required for expenses under $75. If assistance en route is needed, contact Replacement Staff Duty 719-526-6961.
• Lodging for Unaccompanied (SGT and below) – Provided by Replacement, Bldg. 1367.
• Lodging for Accompanied (SSG and above) – Please make your own arrangements. Candlewood Suites is available on post at 719-526-6961. If you have additional questions about housing options, contact the Housing Services Office at 719-725-8096 or 719-238-6458.
• Leave Extension – Check your orders for contact information or contact Replacement Staff Duty at 719-526-6961.

In-Processing

Report to Bldg. 1456 and go to the 2nd floor CQ desk to and sign-in. Be sure to have a copy of your DA31 and orders in hand. Also check the documents to hand carry section below. If reporting during duty hours, Soldiers must be in uniform. If reporting after 3 p.m. or on a weekend, Soldiers are authorized to report in civilian clothes; however, you must be clean shaven and in accordance with AR 670-1. Soldiers complete the 4+1 in-processing schedule prior to departing READY Company. Soldier start dates (Day 1) will vary based on installation gains.

Required Documents

• Five copies of all assignment orders and amendments
• Five copies of approved absence request
• Copies of profiles (P3 and above only)
• Medical record (if given to you by losing command)
• Dental record (if given to you by losing command). READY can assist with making copies, if needed by exception.

Finance

Within 72 hours of reception all Soldiers meet with finance for help with filling out travel vouchers and entitlement documents. For more info, visit the Fort Carson Army Military Pay Office.

MEPS Soldiers

Soldiers arriving directly from MEPS will complete additional requirements with the READY Company HR section prior to starting the 4+1 in-processing schedule. Requirements include component onboarding, unit assignment, military pay, uniforms, etc. Soldiers are to expect to remain at READY Company until all requirements are met.

Compassionate Reassignments

Report to the Military Personnel Division CAPS section in the Mountain Post Soldier Center, Bldg. 1525, Rm 210. Address is 6351 Specker Avenue, Bldg. 1525, Fort Carson, CO 80913.

DA Civilian In-Processing

You will be notified contact by your organization with specific in-processing information.

Note, in 2017 the Army changed its permissive Temporary Duty requirements; soldiers are no longer required to visit the Housing Services Office to obtain an HSO stamp. If a soldier received Basic Allowance for Housing, they should report to the HSO upon arrive to Fort Carson. Army regulations required they visit the HSO prior to making permanent off-post living arrangements. For help, call 719-725-8096 or 238-6458.

When you report to the Ivy Replacement Center, you must have the following documentation with you:
