The Housing Services Office (HSO), Bldg. 1225, Room 189, provides one-on-one support in locating adequate, affordable, and available housing for you and your family; rentals and for sale listings; complaint mediation; and the Pikes Peak Association of Realtors (PPAR) Volunteer Realtor Program. If you receive BAH, report to the HSO upon your arrival at Fort Carson; army regulations require you visit HSO prior to making permanent off-post living arrangements. Individuals looking for rental properties can view photos, maps, and detailed listings at HSO or can visit HOMES.mil. HSO staff is knowledgeable about the local community laws and policies and is available to assist Soldiers and Families with finding solutions to housing needs and issues. HSO partners with the Pikes Peak Association of Realtors (PPAR) to provide a volunteer realtor services onsite. PPAR provides qualified realtor volunteers to assist the Army housing counselors in this endeavor and to furnish rental and sale listings through the Multiple Listing Service System. Services include printouts of rental and sale listings, information regarding purchases of homes such as application procedures, interest rates and discussing various types of mortgages such as VA, FHA, and conventional loans. If taking permissive TDY for house hunting, Soldiers are required to have their leave form (DA Form 31) stamped and dated by the HSO before starting permissive TDY. If NOT, Soldier will be charged leave for that period.
