The Housing Services Office (HSO), Bldg. 1225, room 189, provides one-on-one support in locating adequate, affordable, and available housing for you and your family; rentals and for sale listings; complaint mediation; and the Pikes Peak Association of Realtors (PPAR) Volunteer Realtor Program. If you receive BAH, please report to the HSO upon your arrival at Fort Carson. Army regulations require you to visit HSO prior to making permanent off-post living arrangements. Army Housing provides three core services which include Housing Services (Off the installation), Residential Community Services (On the installation) and Unaccompanied Housing (Barracks). Housing Services, located in Bldg. 1225, are available to assist with finding housing off the installation. HSO staff is knowledgeable about the local community laws and policies and is available to assist Soldiers and Families with finding solutions to housing needs and issues. HSO partners with the Pikes Peak Association of Realtors to provide onsite volunteer realtor services. These are vetted qualified realtors who volunteer to assist Army housing counselors in helping Soldiers and Families find rental and sale listings through the Multiple Listing Service system. Services include printouts of rental and sale listings, information regarding purchases of homes such as application procedures, interest rates and discussing various types of mortgages such as VA, FHA, and conventional loans.
