A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
The Family Resource Center has a well-equipped Lending Closet containing basic household items. Service members and families may borrow the items needed while in transition. Items are available for a 30-day lending period at no cost and include: pots, pans, dishes, silverware, coffee makers, toasters, slow cookers, tea kettles, sleeping mats, folding tables and chairs.
Items may be borrowed for 30 days. Extension of the lending period may be granted for special circumstances. You must call or come into the FRC to request an extension. Items are available on a first come, first served basis and some items may not be available during times of high PCS volume. Visit FRC, building 11042 Mt Belvedere Blvd. For more information, call the FRC at 315-772-6566. Hour of Lending Closet are 0730-1600, Monday through Friday.
All items must be returned in clean, working condition by the due date. If items are not returned, two attempts will be made to contact you.
