A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
The Army Community Service Lending Closet is located at 830 Chisholm Ave, just off Ernie Pyle Road. The center is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. (closed Tuesdays and federal holidays). Stop by to check item availability, borrow what you need and pick up relocation information for Fort Meade or your next duty station. ACS Lending Closet can provide temporary loans of household items whether you are on PCS orders to Fort Meade or are leaving Fort Meade. The Lending Closet offers the following items: pots, pans, dishes, irons, ironing boards, toasters, rice cookers, microwave, coffee makers, folding tables and chairs. No baby/child items are available.
Please remember to pack your own bed linens, pillows, blankets, towels, shower curtains, alarm clocks and a flashlight.
Please visit the ACS Relocation Center, located at 830 Chisholm Avenue, just off Ernie Pyle Road. The center is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., and is closed on Tuesdays and all federal holidays. A valid military ID card is required to access the Lending Closet, or a CAC for civilian personnel.
Items may be borrowed for up to 90 days, with extensions granted when circumstances warrant.
