The average one-bedroom apartment will cost in the neighborhood of $1100 and 2-bedroom about $1200 and up per month excluding utilities. Fort Lee is very unique in its layout, depending on the gate you access the installation you will find yourself in a different city or county. The average rental home is $1300. The IHG Army Hotel at Fort Lee is open 24/7. It provides standard and extended-stay rooms and suites to accommodate advance course students on temporary duty assignment, military families on PCS orders and other installation visitors whether here for business or leisure travel. Pets are allowed in lodging with payment of a one time, non-refundable $75 fee--for up to five days. After that, there is a $7 charge per day. currently there are 900 rooms for extended stay and 20% of the rooms in the old lodging building are designated as pet rooms. Fort Lee Family Housing managed by Hunt Companies. Office hours are 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Active duty service members with dependents are eligible to live on post.
Fort Lee Family Housing is an amenity rich military community nestled among tall evergreens and mature trees. It is comprised of seven distinct villages that exhibit the personality and rich history of Fort Lee and surrounding areas. Several units on Fort Lee are handicap adaptable for special needs residents. Bedroom composition ranges from two-bedroom to five-bedroom units within the different neighborhoods.
Single Service Member Housing
First Sergeant's Barracks Program providing first class service support to single Service Members in the grade of E-5 and above. The main office is located in building 8401 on 27th Street and A Avenue. Barracks managers are responsible for assignment, maintenance, termination, key control and much more. Military Leadership is still involved in the health and welfare, morale and good order in the barracks. Soldiers who are geographically separated from their Families are not authorized to live in the barracks. Service members without dependents E6 and above are required to live off post. Grades E6 and above without dependents are authorized to draw Basic Housing Allowance (BAH) without dependent rate.
There are no geographical bachelors housing available on the installation. Advance Individual Training (AIT) students must reside on the installation in their unit's barracks. AIT students should not bring Family members with them while stationed at Fort Lee.
Housing for military students varies depending on a students' status. Most students are prohibited from bringing Family members to Fort Lee. Questions regarding housing policies should be directed to the various schools' cadre.
