Off-Post Housing: If you are looking for off-post housing, you can obtain free searches for available rentals by visiting the automated housing referral network, sponsored by the Department of Defense. We encourage you not to send any money for deposits or first month's rent until you have seen the property. Do not sign a lease prior to arriving. You can call 580-581-3259 in regards to receiving any crime statistics for neighborhoods in the city limits of Lawton.
Advance Station Housing Allowance: ASHA is authorized for soldiers moving into a house or apartment to cover the first month's rent/deposit and required utility deposits. DA Form 4187 must be submitted through the soldier’s chain of command or the in-out processing section for soldiers that are new to the installation. A copy of the rental agreement or a letter of intent to rent must be attached to verify all associated expenses.
