If you’ve ever considered taking your education a step further, you should look to your installation for more information and assistance. They can help you decide if receiving an advanced degree is right for you, tell you which local colleges and classes are offered and find out if you’re eligible for tuition assistance. The Voluntary Education Center, or Installation Education Center, is available to help you put together a plan to advance your education.
Military spouses can also choose to engage with an education and career coach through the DoD’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, or SECO. These coaches can assist them in exploring multiple tools, resources and information to reach their educational goals. Base Education Office offers free DANTES testing for active-duty military and reserve members. Civilians may be able to take DANTES tests for a fee. Contact on base MOU – Park University, Building 180, at 801-773-4692 for more information. The education office does not offer any facilities for GED or ACT. Ogden city school district and Davis Applied Technology College offer preparation for college English or math high school completion, GED and English as a second language, among other services.
Education services programs help meet professional and personal development needs. Military oriented options include Community College of the Air Force, non-commissioned officer academies, Air Command and Staff College, Air War College, and military tuition assistance.
On base schools, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Park University, and or master’s degree programs in a variety of offerings, Weber State University provide associate, bachelor’s, including evening, lunch hour, weekend, and online classes. In the local area, several colleges and universities offer full curriculum at all degree levels, and vocational schools provide certification opportunities. Education counseling is available for active-duty members, Guard and Reserve members, DOD civilians, and family members. Base Military Training and Formal Training offices, please direct all questions to office org box. Testing services include; administering career development course exams, language testing (DLAB, DLPT, OPI), Armed Forces Classification Test (AFCT), Air Force Officer Qualification Test (AFOQT), Pilot Aptitude Test, Weighted Airman Promotion Testing (eWAPS). The on-base college courses offered in the 8–12-week formats, depending on program, typically beginning in August, October, January, March and May each year. Contact each school (see below) directly for more specific information.
Academic Programs
Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) offers and awards job-related associate in applied science degrees and other academic credentials to enhance mission readiness, contribute to recruiting, assist in retention, and support the career transitions of Air Force enlisted members.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University — Offers associate and bachelor's degrees in professional aeronautics and a bachelor's degree in management of technical operations; Master's degrees in aeronautical science with emphasis in management or operations and business administration/aviation. Park University — Offers associate degrees in computer science, criminal justice, management, management/accounting, management/logistics, office management, social psychology; Bachelor's degrees in computer science, criminal justice, management, management/accounting, management/computer information systems, management/health care, management/human resources, management/logistics, social psychology; general education classes.

Webster University — Offers master's degrees in human resources management, human resources development, and information technology management. Webster University will also be offering a master’s degree in procurement and acquisitions management. For further information call 801-779-2061.
