Relocation assistance can provide support if you’re preparing to move or PCS. The programs and services defined below are provided by the Military and Family Support Center. In addition to the assistance program, a variety of other services may be available. Check the additional information topic to see what unique installation services are available to you.
If you are approaching a permanent change of station, or PCS, you may have questions about your upcoming move. As part of the Military and Family Support Center, the Relocation Assistance Program provides services and resources to help make this transition as smooth as possible. Below is a list of resources.
The Army Community Service Relocation Readiness Program office is located in Building 1286, Haley Ave, HAAF, GA and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Contact ACS at 912-315-6816.
The program provides comprehensive relocation assistance which includes:
Contact your RRP office as soon as you receive your permanent change of station orders. Your relocation staff can provide information on your new duty station, community, schools, shopping and jobs. Also, contact the transportation office to make an appointment to have your personal property packed. Make an inventory of possessions and valuables. Organize records such as birth certificates, insurance papers, marriage license and immigration papers. Take care of medical and dental appointments, auto repairs and maintenance, if traveling by automobile. Have pets checked by the veterinary office and shots updated and be sure to carry a copy of their records.
