Child Care

In addition to the three child development centers on Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, there are licensed family day care providers residing on base housing who can accommodate full-time care.

The Family Child Care program for in-home day care offers professional and safe care in a home environment. Family Child Care is available for children 6 weeks to school age and offers drop-in, part-time and full-time care.

Additional Information

All children using any of the above programs must have proof of current immunizations either with a shot record or medical records. Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling provides an array of child development services. The program is DoD certified and is also accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs.

Programs Offered 

Children ages 6-weeks to 5-years can receive full-time weekly care at one of two Child Development Centers located on base. Rooms for infants, pre-toddlers, toddlers, 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds are available. There is a part-day enrichment program for 3- and 4-year-olds as well. A kindergarten class is also provided.

Costs 

All fees are based on total family income.

Availability

While there is a waiting time of approximately six months, priority is given to dual military and single military parents.
