The Gateway Inn is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Active duty, Reserve, National Guard, retirees, and DOD civilians are authorized to use lodging facilities on JBAB 202-563-6950/1-800-628-9466/1-877-628-9233.

The Navy Lodge is located 1/2 mile away from JBAB. Public transportation (Metro Bus) is located outside the entrance gate. 50 units with air conditioning and private baths. Family accommodations. This is a nonsmoking facility. Reservations can be made via the web page, book now by calling 202-563-6950, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Once you make a reservation, you cannot be bumped from your room. Reservation and room assignments are accepted on an as-received basis without regard to rank, rate or time of reservation.
The Gateway Inn has 10 rooms that will accept pets. Make your reservations early to ensure availability. All pets must have their own kennel and there is an additional $10 per night pet fee.
Those who are on official orders, i.e., TDY, PCSing in or out, Permissive TDY, Medical, etc., to JBAB and the National Capital Region (NCR) are classified as priority one guests and may make advance reservations as soon as they know their requirement dates.
Personnel who wish to use lodging while on leave or for visiting family members or guests are classified as priority two. Priority two guests may only make reservations up to 30 days in advance based on the following availability of rooms:

For TDY guests, lodging staff will coordinate off-base lodging with one of their contract quarter properties in the local area and issue a Non-Availability Letter to the guest. The TDY member is responsible for paying the hotel charges and must request reimbursement through his/her travel voucher upon completion of the TDY. This service is not available for space-available guests.
PCS guests are given a Temporary Living Expense (TLE) letter that specifies that on-base facilities were not available. The guests are responsible for obtaining their own local accommodations. If requested however, the lodging staff will assist the guest in locating accommodations.
