A wide range of programs are available for youth and teens, including youth sports and recreation programs, educational programs and programs that support leadership and career development. Please review the information to learn what programs and services are available at this installation.
Youth Programs (YP) provides activities and programs that improve and maintain the physical and mental well-being of youth ages 6 to 18.
The YP facility has a full sized gym; game room with pool table, foosball, video games, snack bar and school-age care wing. We also have an outdoor play area, basketball court and three baseball/softball fields.
School Age Care
Malmstrom SA Care consists of: before & after school care, school holiday care, and summer camp. The program is accredited through the Council on Accreditation (COA) and certified by Department of Defense (DoD)
School Age Program is open to children enrolled in kindergarten through 6th grade, of active duty military, DoD civilians (NAF & APF), reservists on active duty or during inactive duty training. Children of DoD contractors & retired military are eligible on a space available basis.
DoD sets fee regulations for the SAC Care. Fees are based on total family income and apply to all children who attend the program on a regular basis. The fees include meals, snacks and field trips. Total family income is reviewed annually and fees are adjusted accordingly.

Youth Sponsorship ProgramYouth Sponsorship helps incoming youth to become familiar with their new home in Montana and connects outbound youth with sponsors to their gaining base. Sponsors are matched to youth according to their gender, age and interests.The sponsors escort incoming youth around the post, school area and the Child and Youth Program Centers. They introduce the new arrival to others within their age/grade level and to the various activities.
