Child and Youth Programs (CYP) provide high quality childcare programs and services that support eligible families. Programs are available for children six weeks through 18 years of age; full day or part time care. All programs are designed to enrich your child’s social, cognitive, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development. Family Child Care (FCC) homes offer safe, high quality childcare through well-trained staff in a family/home atmosphere with a small group of children in either government housing or a private home off the installation in the Beaufort area (OFCC). Care can include full day, part day, hourly or extended day care for parents that work non-traditional hours. FCC Providers:

Child Development Centers (CDC) are designed to meet the individual developmental needs of eligible children by offering quality childcare for infants and children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Programs provide low adult-to-child ratios that support quality experiences for young children and onsite Training and Curriculum Specialists who mentor and foster professional development of CYP Professionals.
At the CDCs, children have a full day in an enriching environment that builds the foundation for their transition into school. The CDCs engage children in guided play and an array of stimulating, age-appropriate activities that include computers, arts and crafts, reading, listening centers and more! Each CDC:
Hourly Care
Reservations are required for hourly care and may be made up to 2 weeks in advance. Each child utilizing hourly care is offered the same developmentally appropriate curriculum, furnishings, playgrounds and manipulatives as regularly enrolled children.
Resource & Referral (R&R) Registration Specialist
Resource and Referral (R&R) serves as the central enrollment registry to all eligible patrons seeking programs for children, youth and teens ages 6 weeks to 18 years. R&R assists parents and legal guardians by:

The SAC program is offered for children 5 to 12 years of age, or Kindergarten - 6th grade at the Parris Island and Laurel Bay Youth Centers. SAC provides a safe, supervised and age-appropriate environment with individual and group activities that develop the social, emotional, cognitive and physical potential of children. The facility boasts a gymnasium, playground, arts and craft room, and game room. SAC also offers full-day hourly care on school holidays and teacher in-service days as well as day camps during extended school breaks.
