When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego billeting is located at building 625 on Tripoli Avenue. Call 619-524-4401 for information and reservations. Priority is given to service members with PCS orders. Pets are not allowed, billeting will refer to local hotels. Lodging accommodations off base will be reimbursed by Finance Office with a certificate of unavailability issued by installation lodging office.
Marine Corps Transient Billeting Quarters offers accommodations for mobile military/civilian population while on official government travel and temporary duty.

If no quarters are available at transient billeting, other temporary lodging may be secured at one of the two area Navy Lodge, 800-628-9466: Naval Station San Diego or Naval Air Station North Island. Additional lodging may be available at the Marine Corps Lodge at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, 858-271-7111.
Command Sponsored Dependents
Travel will be provided only for prior-authorized dependents; those entitled to travel to the service member's duty station at government expense, incident to the service member's PCS orders, those authorized by the appropriate authority to be at the service members duty station, and where dependents' residence lies in the vicinity of the service member's duty station and which entitles said service member to station allowances at the "with dependents" rate.
Non-Command Sponsored Dependents
Dependents of a service member residing with the service member without appropriate authority to be at his or her duty station.
If you get married before you PCS or during your PCS, you must inform your SNCOIC and follow the procedures exactly as you are given them. The military will not pay for travel and housing of your spouse if you do not follow proper procedures. Enroll your spouse in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System to ensure she or he is eligible to receive military health insurance coverage.
