The Relocation Assistance Services includes Lending Locker program which supplies service members and families with temporary household goods during the permanent change of station process. Relocation Assistance Office helps alleviate some stresses involved with the PCS move. We provide basic housekeeping items for temporary loan to inbound and outbound Marines, sailors and their families while household goods are in transit. The Lending Locker is available to service members stationed aboard MCRD San Diego. 

We carry an assortment of items to assist those either in the settling-in or packing-out phase of a PCS. Supplies are limited so please call ahead at 619-524-5298 or DSN 312-524-5298.

Kitchen utensils in the form of four-place setting dish packs

Rice cookers, microwave ovens, crockpots

Coffee pots, blenders, mixers, waffle makers and toasters

Irons and ironing boards, laundry baskets, plastic trash cans and vacuum cleaners

Children's car seats, booster seats, portable play-pens, high chairs and light-weight strollers

32-inch TVs and DVD players

Air mattresses (queen and twin sizes)

The Lending Locker is located at MCRD Building 14 (behind the Fitness Center), Room 107, and is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Lending Locker Services is a temporary loan of basic household goods and is available only to service members, their families and Department of Defense civilian employees of Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego who are on permanent change of station orders. The Relocation Assistance Office is located at Building 14, Personal and Professional Development. The office is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and is closed on weekends and holidays. Check-out period for household goods is typically two weeks if PCSing within the continental U.S. and four weeks if PCSing from outside the continental U.S. to MCRD San Diego.
