It is very important make your temporary lodging reservations well in advance of your arrival to Naval Air Station Key West, especially if traveling with pets. This is a training base as well as tourist hot spot so lodging fills up quickly.
On base resources include the Navy Gateway Inns and Suites (no pets); morale, welfare and recreation rentals (two-bedroom and three-bedroom units that sleep up to six); and the Navy Lodge. Please refer to the Housing - Temporary category for contact information.
If you get married before or while en route to your next duty station, you must inform your command and follow the procedures exactly as you are given them. The military will not pay for travel and housing of your spouse if you do not follow proper procedures. Additionally all dependents must complete an overseas screening before arriving in Key West.
