Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.

Pre-deployment preparation is a key factor in making your deployment less stressful for yourself and your family.
The Fleet and Family Support Center provides pre-deployment briefings (Upon request). A variety of brochures and booklets, geared toward military children and deployment or reunion, are available at the FFSC.
Counseling services are available for service members and their eligible family members for topics such as personal financial management, stress management, life skills and adult and and adolescent clinical counseling (13 and older). For information or to sign up for any of these programs, call the FFSC at 305-293-4408.
