Loan Closet

If your personal property does not arrive when you do or leaves before you do, you may come to the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Tickets and Travel Building to check out basic household items such as:

Dish packs with pots and pans

Silverware and cooking utensils

Toaster and drip coffee maker

Steam iron and ironing board

Camp-style folding table and chairs and folding cots

Air sleeping mats (limited quantities)

700-watt microwaves

Active duty service members and their families may check these items out until their items arrive. Contact the MWR relocation liaison for further information. Just bring a copy of your PCS orders reflecting your assignment to Patuxent River Naval Air Station or Webster Field to the travel office. You can use the Loan Locker items for up to 30 days, with the option to extend for another 30 day period. Call 301-757-3010 for more information.

Because we have limited quantities of items, use of the loan locker is restricted to those Active duty individuals PCSing In or Out of either NAS Patuxent River or Webster Field. Users of the Loan Closet will need to sign a contract stating that they understand that the items they have received are the property of MWR. They will return items in good, serviceable & clean condition. Further, they will be responsible for the repair or replacement of any items damaged or lost while they have them. They will agree to be charged for any missing or broken items. This valuable service prevents the member & their families from incurring out of pocket expenses to purchase or rent these items while they are waiting for their goods to arrive.
