When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. This website will greatly reduce your in-processing time when you arrive at the Naval Postgraduate School since the information must be completed prior to your arrival.
Once you have arrived, you must report to Student Services, located at NPS in Herman Hall (basement Room 033) in the Del Monte hotel. The office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Friday, uniforms are required.

Temporary Lodging Reservations
The Hotel Del Monte has several types of lodging available and added options for captains and colonels (O6) and higher. They are:
STANDARD DELUXE (SD) with KITCHENETTE, DELUXE QUEEN (DQ) with KITCHENETTE ,STANDARD QUEEN (SQ) without KITCHENETTE.

Notes:
Navy Lodge/Civilian Hotel -- The Navy Lodge is about one mile from campus and down the street from the Fleet and Family Support Center, which is located in the La Mesa housing area. For additional information and pricing, call 831-372-6133, 831-656-2069 or 800-628-9466.
If neither the Navy Gateway Inns & Suites nor The Navy Lodge is available, there is the IHG on the Presidio. Military members and their families will typically choose to stay in a hotel for the first week or so while checking out the local housing. The cost of lodging can vary, depending on the time of year, the season and the location. It is recommended that you ask for a military discount to see if one is available.

If you choose to get married before or during your PCS, you must inform your commander and follow the procedures exactly as required. Your spouse must be enrolled into DEERS for all services and on your current orders. The Department of Defense will not pay for travel and/or per diem for your spouse if you do not follow the proper procedures after you are married. Your spouse must be on your orders and be enrolled in DEERS in order to be eligible for spousal PCS benefits and entitlements. Make sure you follow proper procedures for your move. You may also recieve a email or letter stating that you have reached a military life cycle touchpoint, if so please schedule an appointment with a Command Financial Specialist (CFS) or Personal Financial Manager (PFM) as soon as possible to ensure you meet all Navy Requirements.
