Most newcomers arrive in Naples at Capodichino International Airport or Air Mobility Command Terminal.
Sponsors will provide transportation to those newcomers who have pets, car seats, are arriving at any other airport and/or lodging at a different location other than those listed above. Please keep your sponsor advised of your arrival date and if your flying commercial or AMC.
For those arriving commercially, your sponsor needs to reach out to the Area Orientation Coordinators to schedule your AO participation dates and receive the necessary paperwork.
Upon arrival, you will be met by Area Orientation staff. At this point you will receive all necessary paperwork for Area Orientation.
Area Orientation is a command requirement. For details, contact Area Orientation Coordinators at firstname.lastname@example.org or call DSN 314-629-6945, Comm. +(39) 081-811-6945; or +(39) 335-848-4641.
During Area Orientation, the newcomer will need to see the AO Coordinators to be registered to attend the sojourners permit presentation, if applicable, dependents driver's license exam, and downtown Area Orientation tour.
Children under 13 are not eligible to attend the Friday AO trip. The family-friendly is held on the last Monday of each month. The newcomer will receive the date, time, and location for these appointments from the AO Coordinators.
