Youth Services

With the opening of our new Recreation Center we offer many new opportunities including cooperative programs with organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, 4H Club, Mad Science and American Red Cross. 

Open Recreation

The CYP program offers open recreation for ages 5-12 during the school year, Monday - Friday from 5-6 p.m. Call 850-234-4938 for information.

Youth Sports

Our sports programs offer the opportunity to play team sports for school age children in street hockey, basketball, t-ball, and flag football. We also offer golf and tennis lessons. For ages 3-5 we offer the start smart sports programs in soccer, baseball, football, and basketball. Call 850-896-1760 for more information.

Youth Employment

NSA Panama City sponsors a Summer School Enrichment Program, designed to provide career-related summer employment for outstanding high school students. These students work side-by-side with Station "mentors," engineers and scientists. The goal of this program is to encourage student interest in new and developing occupations and professions.

The Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department also hires youth ages 14-17 during the summer to work at the summer camp program, marina, auto skills, fitness center, and pool.

Youth Camps

Our youth camps include a Fall Break Camp, Winter Break Camp, Spring Break Camp, and Summer Camp.  These camps feature a variety of fun and educational activities including sports, crafts, science projects, performing arts and field trips.

• Spring Fling Event - Easter Weekend

Youth Sponsorship

• For students in grades 6-12
• Youth sponsors help with the relocation of their peers and are matched according to gender, age, and interests

Teen Programs

The teen program is open from 2-6:30 pm; Monday through Friday. Camps are offered during the summer. This is for ages 12-18. For more information call 850-234-4889.
