Child and Youth Programs provide child development and recreational services for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. The Indian Head Child Development Center (CDC) provides full and part day care for children 6 weeks to 5 years. Children are grouped according to age: infants, pre-toddlers, twos, threes, fours and fives. The daily schedule is divided into active and quiet playtime and is designed to support the child's most important years of growth and learning. Children who stay at the centers will have the opportunity to establish and maintain friendships and become responsible for their actions through self-discipline. Art and music activities are offered, as well as, units on number recognition, holidays, seasons, health, safety and family structure.
The Indian Head CDC is located in Bldg 1901 and can be reached at 301-744-4458.
