The Military and Family Support Center is one part of a larger network of agencies, programs, services, partnerships and individuals that supports your personal and family readiness. The larger system called the Military Family Readiness System is a web of support for you and your family. The Military and Family Support Center should be one of your first stops once you arrive at a new installation. The programs and services they offer are a key resource for you and your family.

The Fleet and Family Outreach Center at Naval Support Facility Indian Head is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The main office for the Fleet and Family Support Center is located at NSF Dahlgren. If you would like assistance, please contact the FFSC at 800-500-4947 or 540-653-1839.
Counseling Services
The FFSC has licensed counselors available for individual, couple, group and family counseling. The counseling service provided at the FFSC is short-term, problem-focused and non-medical counseling. Counseling services are available to active-duty members and their families. Retirees and their family members are seen on a space-available basis.
Sexual Assault Victim Advocate
The Sexual Assault Prevention & Response (SAPR) Program serves as the single point of contact to facilitate victim support services, crisis intervention for non-clinical emergency care, and recovery-oriented care for survivors.
The mission is to promote military readiness by reducing sexual assault through prevention, sexual assault training & awareness, and provide SAPR policy & program assistance and support to commands, Sailors, families and civilian communities who are located aboard NSASP Dahlgren and Indian Head.
The SAPR Program is charged with preventing sexual assault in the military & facilitating recovery for survivors who are Active Duty and DEERS eligible, military dependents 18 years of age and older. CONUS DoD employees who are victims of sexual assault are only eligible for limited SAPR Services.
