With certain military moves, you may find yourself looking for housing that’s a little less permanent before making long-term arrangements. There are several temporary housing options that may be right for you. Explore the information about temporary housing facilities including allowances, lodging rates and eligibility.
When you know the date of your arrival, make reservations for lodging at the Sheppard Inn. Reservations may be made by calling the Sheppard Inn directly at 940-676-1844/2970, toll free at 1-888-AF-LODGE or DSN 312-736-1844/2970.
The Sheppard Inn is located in building 1600, 400 J Ave. Reservations are recommended and can be made in advance by calling 940-676-1844/2970 or DSN 312-736-1844; fax 940-676-7434 or DSN 312-736-7434. Reservations may also be made by calling toll-free 1-888-AF-LODGE (1-888-235-6343). Keep in mind that temporary quarters units can be quite small. Pets are allowed in a limited number of temporary quarters for military personnel PCSing in or out of Sheppard Air Force Base.
For those PCSing in or out of Sheppard Air Force Base, a kitchenette is available. For those on temporary duty travel orders, a mini fridge and microwave are available.

Some lodging units are pet friendly. The units available are very limited so reservations are a must. Call as early as possible to make your reservations.
Families PCSing in can stay 10 days, or if space is available and approved, 30 days may be allowed. Families PCSing out are allowed to stay 10 days, or if space is available and approved, 30 days may be allowed. Basic Allowance for Housing must be forfeited for any nights in excess of 30 unless a hardship is approved by the installation commander. For guests requiring to stay more than 30 days, an extension letter must be given to the Lodging Administration at least two weeks prior to an extension.

The following are considered priority one personnel:
Priority two personnel is considered any active-duty or retired military member (and dependents) traveling in a nonduty status and will be housed as a Space-A reservation 24 hours in advance and limited to 30 days.
