A wide range of programs are available for youth and teens, including youth sports and recreation programs, educational programs and programs that support leadership and career development. Please review the information to learn what programs and services are available at this installation.
USAG Bavaria - Hohenfels Teen Center, located in Building 72, provides a variety of recreational and educational services for youth 13-19 years of age. Other services include Youth Sponsorship, Youth Employment and Youth Sports.
Youth Sponsorship Program
The Army Youth Sponsor Program (AYSP) is comprised of two elements: The Child, Youth & School (CYS) Services Sponsorship Club and Student to Student (S2S) School Transition Support Program. Youth Sponsorship Clubs are offered at CYS Services - Youth Programs, while S2S is delivered through schools that serve military youth. The Youth Sponsorship Club focuses on relocation support and the life transitions that military-connected teens often encounter, while offering programs specifically tailored to the needs of these youth. The S2S program is a school-based program that is designed to allow children and youth to acclimate more easily and quickly into their new school environment. It is school-managed and student-led. Youth Employment
Youth Employment opportunities are available through the Dependent Youth Part Time (DYPT) program. Applications can be obtained at the High School office, Teen Center or Civilian Personnel Assistance Center (CPAC). Applications must be returned to the Teen Center or CPAC office. Teen Center
The Hohenfels Teen Center, located in Building 72, provides a variety of recreational and educational services for grades 6 - 12. Types of services and programs include:

Technology Club -- Members gain basic computer skills, make digital movies, music and photography and learn graphic design and web development. Members are on cutting edge of learning how to apply technology to their lives each day and learning how it will be an integral part of their future.
The Image Maker -- Image Makers is a joint program between the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. This is a comprehensive photography program that encourages boys and girls to learn and practice the art of photography, expressing themselves in creative and innovative ways. In this program, members can see how the use of light, depth and angles can capture time and communicate a message. Members also have an opportunity to submit photos for national competitions hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of America.
Character Counts -- A framework for ethical living based the “Six Pillars of Character”: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. Character Counts helps kids make better choices.
Torch Club --A chartered small-group leadership and service club for boys and girls grades 9-12 focusing on character development. Torch Club members learn to elect officers and work together to plan and implement activities in four areas: service to club and community, education, health and fitness, and social recreation.

Club Beyond
Club Beyond is available for Middle and High School Aged Children. There is ballet, gymnastics, soccer, football, basketball, cheerleading, softball, baseball, and t-ball just to name a few offered by Child and Youth Services.
Youth Sports
Youth Sports (YS) in Hohenfels serves all children from 3-18 years of age. Soccer, tackle football, cheerleading, basketball, softball, and baseball are all offered as team sports. Tennis, gymnastics, archery, and track and field are just a few of the individual sports that have been offered. During the summer months, specialty camps and field trips are arranged for children in 1st through 8th grade.
