Youth Services

Baumholder Youth Center offers programs affiliated with the 4-H Club and Boys and Girls Club of America and provide opportunities for leadership and growth. They also offer youth sponsorship, teen councils, computer labs, fashion shows, dances and other special events. For more information, call CIV: 0611-143-531-3423 or DSN: 314-531-3423.

The United States Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz, Baumholder Child and Youth Services (CYS) is staffed with early childhood educators and youth professionals committed to serving Military Members, Civilians and their Families in the Baumholder Military Community. Our programs are certified by the Department of Defense and have been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) or the Council on Accreditation (COA).

Registration

To enroll your child in any Child and Youth Services (CYS) program, we must have the following information:

• Valid uniformed services ID card
• Two names and phone numbers for emergency notification (Must be local and have base access.)
• Health assessment (Must be completed and signed by a healthcare provider.)
• Immunization Records (Only required for children six weeks to five years who are enrolling in CDC programs. Children who are school age (kindergarten-twelfth grade) are not required to provide proof of immunization records if they attend a DODEA school. If the child is homeschooled or attends school off base, then immunization records will be required to attend SAC or the Youth Center.
• Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES) (Only required if enrolling your child in full-day, part-day and part-time care at the CDC or if enrolling your child in before/after school care or seasonal camps at SAC. This is not required for hourly care, Youth Sports or SKIES enrollment).
• Family Care Plan (Required for single/dual Active Duty households who are enrolling their children in full-day, part-day or part-time care at the CDC or if enrolling your child in before/after school care or seasonal camps at SAC. This is not required for hourly care, Youth Sports or SKIES enrollment.)

School Age Services Program

Affiliated with Boys and Girls Club of America, 4H, and offering recreational opportunities for children in grades one through five, this program is available year round. Before and after school care is offered during the school year. During the summer months and school holidays, a full day program is provided.

Youth Center

The Youth Center program is open to youth, grades sixth through twelfth, with activities such as: arts and crafts, sports, clubs, computer labs, dances, lock-ins and volunteer opportunities.

Daily attendance is free. Minimum fees are charged for extracurricular activities that include field trips, dances, and outdoor recreation. Youth Services is also affiliated with 4-H and Boys and Girls Club of America.

Youth Sports

The Youth sports and instructional activities include basketball, cheerleading, softball, soccer, football, dance and much more. There is a fee for these activities. Volunteer coaches and contracted instructors are always welcome.
