College/Technical Training

The Tri-Services Schools here in Europe offer multiple undergraduate and graduate degree programs, as well as certificate programs. Central Texas College - Europe, University of Maryland - Europe, University of Oklahoma and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University are contracted to provide face-to-face, online and hybrid classes for the Service Members assigned to Europe. Contact an Army Education Center or the school academic representative for more information on degree programs, course funding, term or semester schedules and special Family Member fees.

Courses are offered days, evenings and weekends. Methods of study include face-to-face, on-line, video based independent study and hybrid (a combination of face-to-face and online study).
Spouses and Family Members of Active Duty and Retired Military may also find tuition/grant assistance through their respective Emergency Relief Societies.

Testing Services (By Appointment Only):

• Army Personnel Testing (Requires you to have a DA 4187 and memorandum from an ACES counselor prior to receiving testing services)
• Armed Forces Classification Test 
• Defense Language Aptitude Battery 
• Defense Language Proficiency Test 
• Oral Proficiency Interview 
• Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery 
• Selection Instrumental Flight Training 
• Test for Adult Basic Education. The Pre-TABE is a prerequisite for enrollment into the BSEP Class. The Full-TABE is offered to Service Members requiring this exam for an OCS packet.
• BSEP (Basic Skills Education Program - GT Score improvement) Classes offered at Rhine Ordinance Barracks and Baumholder Education Centers.
• The ACT and SAT are offered on-site to Military personnel only. Exam dates are limited. Service Members must contact an Education Counselor for information on these exams.

The Army Education Centers operate the largest Military education program in Europe, making degree completion realistic during your tour in Germany. They provide information on schools, tests, courses required for degrees, financial aid and additional services. The ArmyIgnitED Tuition Assistance program is available for Soldiers with an activeArmyIgnitED student account. Soldiers can apply for this benefit at ArmyIgnitED.
