There is a Child and Youth Services program that provides a CDC for ages 6 weeks - 5 years, School Age Services for kindergarten - 6th grade, and Outreach Services. Call 256-235-7654. Visit the website for complete details.
Purpose
To promote the total wellness and development of children and youth through developmentally appropriate recreational, social, and educational activities.
Curriculum
The Child Development Center utilizes The Creative Curriculum which emphasizes the following areas of development such as social, emotional, cognitive, physical and language. Placing emphasis on developmentally appropriate activities for each age group.
Army Strong Pre-K Program
School Age Services utilizes 4H, Boys and Girls Club Power Hour, Character Counts, Youth Technology and Homework Labs.
