The Legal Office, located in Building 7 on the Anniston Army Depot, is staffed by five attorneys, one paralegal and a support assistant. This group of multi-talented professionals has a combined total of 137 years of dedicated service to the federal government. The staff has been involved in resolving complex legal issues associated with operating and managing a multi-mission, heavy-industrial, working capital-funded production facility. The knowledge, skills and abilities of the staff has developed over this period and has earned them an Air Mobility Command, Army and Department of Defense reputation for professional competence and excellence. Areas of legal specialty include federal litigation and administrative appeals, acquisition law, partnering and privatization, chemical emergency response, labor and equal employment opportunity law, administrative law, military justice and criminal law, ethics, fiscal law, procurement fraud, general legal assistance as well as environmental, occupational health and safety law.
The Legal Office provides advice and assistance to eligible clients regarding their personal legal affairs, including wills and estate planning, powers of attorney, family law and mobilization assistance. Eligible clients include active-duty military and their family members, as well as retired military members.
