The MCCS Child and Youth Program provides safe, healthy, developmentally appropriate learning environments and recreation opportunities for your family. The Child Development Center (CDC) and School-Age Childcare (SAC) programs are nationally accredited and the Youth & Teen Centers are proud to be affiliated with the Boys & Girls Club of America. All MCCS Okinawa CDCs are accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the SAC programs are accredited by the Council of Accreditation (COA). The purpose of the Child and Youth Program is to support the military community by providing quality childcare and open recreation activities in environments that celebrate individual success through social, cognitive, affective, physical, language, and creative development.

Family Child Care (FCC)
The FCC program offers a home-based and installation-certified childcare option in addition to care offered at a center. FCC is available for a variety of needs and may be ideal for families that prefer a small group-care setting. Care is for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. This program is particularly valuable for the community during the popular Ball season.
School Age Care (SAC)
SAC is available for children 5-12 years of age that are enrolled in kindergarten through 5th grade. Care is offered during duty hours before and after school, teacher in-service days, and during vacation periods. SAC provides a safe, supervised, healthy, age-appropriate environment while parents are at work. Programs are available at Camp Foster, Camp Kinser and Camp McTureous.

Child Development Centers (CDCs)
With locations on Camps Kinser (Yuimaru Center), Foster (Ashibina & Chimugukuru Center) and Camp Courtney (Chura Warabi Center), the MCCS Child Development Centers offer quality full-day and hourly care programs for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. CDCs are staffed by trained care giving professionals that meet the accreditation standards of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Priority Care
The Child & Youth Program (CYP) gives priority to employed parents (single military, dual active duty military, active duty military or DoD civilian whose spouse is employed on a full time basis outside of the home, or is a full time student).
