A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
The Loan Closet provides basic home kitchen items such as pots, pans, dishes, flatware and and glasses to incoming and outgoing command-sponsored families until such time as they have access to their household goods shipment or departure from Okinawa. Car seats, strollers and high chairs are also available.
Because car seats are required on Okinawa, they are also available to families on leave. A copy of the leave orders, listing the location address, is required.
