Contact information for key programs and services at this installation.
When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
If you are arriving at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on normal duty days, you should immediately check in with your unit. Your unit Commander's Support Staff (CSS) will schedule you for your in-processing appointment at the Davis-Monthan Welcome Center - DMWC (Bldg 3200, 1st floor). Your appointment will take place within 72 business hours of your arrival. At the DMWC, you will in-process with Finance, Traffic Management Office and Medical in about an hour. Spouses and children should attend the appointment, if possible. This applies to all active-duty personnel assigned under the 355 WG and active-duty personnel assigned to tenant units.
When no unit CSS is assigned to a squadron, the Military Personnel Flight customer service section will perform scheduling and personnel functions. Squadron commanders typically have an appointed representative to coordinate with the MPF customer service section to facilitate this process. This representative may be the unit secretary or Unit Program Coordinator.
First-Term Airmen will be scheduled for the First-Term Enlisted Course. First-Duty Station Officers will be scheduled for the First-Term Officer course. All personnel will be scheduled for the Right Start Orientation (aka Newcomers Orientation) by the DMWC. All personnel will be granted the opportunity to schedule an appointment with the Military Housing Office and EFMP-FS office (if Q-coded). Follow-up appointment dates and times will either be handed to you at the time of your DMWC appointment or emailed to you.
All Airmen must accomplish in-processing with the DMWC and their unit before taking permissive leave for house hunting. The DMWC can be reached at 520-228-1077.
