If you’ve ever considered taking your education a step further, you should look to your installation for more information and assistance. They can help you decide if receiving an advanced degree is right for you, tell you which local colleges and classes are offered and find out if you’re eligible for tuition assistance. The Voluntary Education Center, or Installation Education Center, is available to help you put together a plan to advance your education.
Military spouses can also choose to engage with an education and career coach through the DoD’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, or SECO. These coaches can assist them in exploring multiple tools, resources and information to reach their educational goals. There are three colleges available to the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base community with classes held on the base.
Pima Community College (PCC) offers a wealth of opportunities. As a student, you can choose from a wide variety of degree and certificate programs. You can take traditional semester day and evening classes, accelerated classes or a mix of both. You can take classes at any of the six campuses or at convenient education centers. Here at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, our Education Center offers general education courses to complete the Community College of the Air Force Associate of Applied Science degree. Students on base can also complete an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts for transfer, an Associate of Business Administration for transfer or an Associate of General Studies degree. Students can apply for admissions, take assessment tests, attend orientation, register for classes and get educational and financial advice on base. DMAFB Education Center is located in the Kennedy Professional Development Center, Building 2441. Our office hours are 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our telephone number is 520-206-4866.

The Embry-Riddle Campus in Tucson, Arizona, offers educational opportunities for working adults, both civilian and military, from our center located on DMAFB. Our distinguished faculty hail from careers in aviation and aerospace through military training as well as commercial aviation. Many of our students are eligible for military Tuition Assistance, veterans’ benefits or tuition assistance from civilian employers. Our accelerated class schedules, acceptance of eligible transfer credits and allowance of credit for military and professional training enable students to complete degree programs in a reasonable amount of time.
