Military Housing Office (MHO):
Before you undergo a permanent change of station, you can receive housing services by using the Housing Early Assistance Tool. HEAT is a web-based tool the Air Force has implemented; it provides military members and their families with the ability to connect with installation housing offices and get information about housing options at their new location. HEAT can be accessed via a link on www.housing.af.mil
All members arriving on station (who are not residing in the dormitories) must check in with the MHO, even if you do not plan to live on base. The MHO can assist you in finding comfortable, safe, and secure housing. You can find help with tenant-landlord mediation, off-base referrals, assistance with inspections before you move in and when you are leaving (both on and off base), reviewing lease agreements and other housing matters. Call the MHO at 661-277-4506.
